Commercial food is such a controversial topic at the moment. Should you feed kibbles, raw or grain free dog food? I don't really have the answer but in my kitchen, whole food is always good and this applies to dogs food as well.
This recipe yields about 4-5 cups of food so it's good for small to medium size pet owners. For adventurous dog owners, you can substitute ground turkey with any type of meat. Ground turkey breast or chicken breast will reduce the fat content.
I found that spinach is easy to work with and my dog loves it. However, chopped broccoli is also good. Zucchini, pumpkin, butternut squash or acorn squash are all good alternatives. Parsley is optional but many claimed that it has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. I personally like the smell of it. You can find many dog chews contain parsley for taming stinky mouth.
So here is a 5-ingredients dog food recipe for you to try. My dog loves it and I hope your dog will love it too.
